# Amlak (أملاك)

> Amlak is an Algerian real-estate **intermediation** platform. It helps sellers, landlords, buyers and tenants find each other across Algeria’s 69 wilayas. It is not a notary, not a bank, and not a party to any sale or lease.

## What Amlak is
- A bilingual (Arabic / French) marketplace for property listings and housing requests
- Coverage: all 69 Algerian wilayas, with daira and commune filters
- Listing types: apartments, villas, houses, land, offices, shops, and agency residences (إقامة)
- Residences (type `building`) may be published by real-estate agencies only
- Contact between parties happens on the platform (messages) or by phone / WhatsApp listed by the advertiser

## What Amlak is not
- Amlak does **not** collect the price, deposit, security deposit (caution), or any transfer related to a deal
- Amlak does **not** replace the notary (الموثق) or land-registry formalities
- Transfer of real-estate ownership in Algeria still requires an authentic notarial deed and publication at the conservation foncière (ordonnance 75-74)
- Amlak does not adjudicate ownership disputes or set transaction prices
